Blackhorse Workshop Cafe

OZ-UK are proud of the new cafe building kit we supplied for the Blackhorse Workshop in Walthamstow. The lean concept was specified by Mathew Leung of the Turner Prize winning Assemble Studio architects. Assemble wanted a structure that fitted with the urban environment but was made from more rustic components. We originally worked with Assemble on the Peckham Palms Project, producing budget prices and outline designs using our cold rolled steel buildings. We then did more work for them on now defunct Farmopolis Project on the Greenwich Peninsula , again producing outline designs and budgets this time using modular cold rolled steel buildings and a three storey greenhouse which would have grown the crops for a jam factory and brewery contained in the structure. However the Blackhorse project developed past the design stage and using Capital Steels design team came up with a bespoke lean to structure that met the exacting brief. We also supplied a large open sided lean to for outside projects in the Workshop.
