Steel Buildings – The Cure?

Robert SmithWhen I was growing up I used to play bass guitar in various bands, one band we had was called Fatal Sanctum it was a very Gothic band influenced by Bauhaus, Alien Sex Fiend, The Mission, The Cult, etc etc etc… one of these bands we were influenced by were the Cure, as a bass player I loved the bass lines. After giving my heart to Jesus at the age of 25 I put the sex, drugs & RnR lifestyle behind me. I now really only fiddle about on acoustic for myself, my family & friends or small gatherings of Christians usually in front rooms & kitchens. So it was interesting to find out that we were going to supply & erect a steel building for Robert Smith who is the lead singer with the Cure who were one of my childhood bands. I was very much hoping to meet Robert Smith when we went to erect the Steel building, I so much wanted to share my faith with someone who is where I once thought I would really like to be. I guess that once again I came face to face with the fact that people are people and we are all very wonderfully different in how we approach life in this beautiful God created World. I am a very hands on person who likes to meet  & chat with everyone & anyone! If your the man who empties my Cesspit or delivers something to us you’ll always be welcomed in for a cuppa & a chat, if your posh or poor it makes no difference with me, your gloriously human and have a special and unique story to tell. I have learned one lesson in life & it has always served me well. It is to treat everyone as important. We don’t get to take any stuff with us into eternity! The greatest treasure we have is each other and the precious moments of life that we get to enjoy these moments together! Whoever you are reading this I want you to know that you are unique and special & what’s more the kettle is always on. Be blessed & be a blessing today while you can! 🙂
